Healthy Teeth-Healthy Teeth Brushing For Your Children
Image via WikipediaHealthy Teeth-Healthy Teeth Brushing For Your Children. It is incredibly important to keep your teeth clean. Research is beginning to show a link between poor oral care and strokes and heart health. This news is scary when you realize that there is more to risk than just a cavity or a root canal. This is why it is so important to teach your children about proper and Healthy Teeth Brushing habits in regards to their teeth.
One of the first things your children need to learn is the length of time they need to concentrate on brushing their teeth. Dentists are recommending that you brush for two minutes. Now, to a child, two minutes is an eternity and if left on their own they will be woefully short on brushing time. Getting an egg timer is a good start to getting them brushing a little longer. There are also two minute timers which easily stick to your bathroom mirror.
My kids were terrible at Healthy Teeth Brushing with regular toothbrushes. The kids were not getting the plaque off of their teeth well enough. It was a good time to get a mechanical toothbrush to help in this. Not only did it help the kids teeth, but they were super excited to use an electronic toothbrush
Another trick we used to get our kids to Healthy Teeth Brush was getting toothpaste that was just for them. You can find all kinds of flavors like strawberries that is fluoride free for young kids or a bubble gum fluoride tooth paste for older.
You can use the same trick for mouthwash. It seems the stranger the color and flavor the more likely they are to use it. Once they are older, you should teach them to floss or use a water pick. Kids sometimes seem to like using a water pick because they can play with the water as well.
Getting them a good routine and with a bit of monitoring is about the best thing you can do to help them develop a good hygine.

Barefoot Books-Over In The Meadow-Barefoot Books
Susan Reed's catchy adaptation of this traditional English song explores textures and all kinds of creatures who live over in the meadow. This traditional rhyming tale takes children on a counting journey through Jill McDonald s colorful meadow scenes, meeting a variety of busy animal families along the way. Children will relish the vivid descriptions of the animals and their activities, from a bumpy mother toad and her baby basking in the sun to a hairy mother spider and her ten children spinning webs in a den.

from Barefoot Books get gold stars from me for the Animal Boogie for this. A good idea is to pop the CD on in theafternoons. It is the perfect weapon for getting that excess energy burnt off before bedtime!
What You Get, 32 Colour Pages: Wonderful, vibrant and bold pictures to look at whilst reading. There are lots of patterns, colours, shapes, children and other animals to look at. The pictures help to understand what animal they have to pretend to be and dance to. Perfect to lead your child through every step of the song. It makes it easy for us adults as well. The lyrics are printed on each page making it easy to follow and know when to turn each page.
Singalong CD: The tune, especially the chorus is so catchy, you will be humming it, mouthing the words and tapping toes almost straight away! This 32 page Award Winning paperback Barefoot Books-Animal Boogie with Singalong CD-Barefoot Books Animal Boogie takes everyone on a fantastic and fun journey through the Indian jungle. The book is a series of “down in the jungle” segments, with different animals. As you turn each page the guessing game begins.
Each animal is being watched by a different child. The children are also a good mix, including children of different ethnic groups and even a wheelchair user. There are plenty of opportunities for talking points. Pop the CD in though and the book is transformed. Sing along, Learn about the animals; create your own dance moves to stomp like an elephant, flap like a bird and so much more!
The music on the CD is very lively and perfect for dancing to. It is just what a little one wants to listen to in fact. Fred Penner who sings on the CD has a great voice for this, putting the right tones to fit the lyrics in the book. This makes it a really fun experience and easy to follow. He even does the sounds as well.
WARNING – You may end up singing The Animal Boogie in your head all day in the most unusual of places.
Every child will have their own special moves and favourites. I know my daughter loves the elephant as she can stomp around along with slithering around on the floor like a snake.
I hope all you parents out there are ready as well, because you won’t escape, believe me, it will be the most fun you can have as a whole family as well. Easy to read, Animals, Colorful, Sing-along, Great illustrations, This is a fantastic fun book for pre-schoolers. My child loves animals and music, so absolutely love this book. It’s one that we can read or sing together, or they can look at it on their own with or without the CD.
When they’re listening to the CD they know when they need to turn the page, which is great. It’s also brilliant for movement as we have actions for each of the different animals. I’d recommend Animal Boogie with Singalong CD-Barefoot Books-Animal Boogie with Singalong CD to everyone!! You can get this and ALL Barefoot Books HERE

Homeschooling Your Children-3 Tips For Homeschooling Your Children
Image via Wikipedia Homeschooling Your Children-3 Tips For Homeschooling Your Children.People homeschool their children for a variety of reasons, but one of the primary reasons that leads people to homeschool their children is the fact that they can provide their children with a more thorough and focused education than can be provided in a classroom with so many students. At the same time, however, this improved education will not be of much use if you send your child to college without the tools they need for success - and this is exactly what happens to many when Homeschooling Your Children-3 Tips For Homeschooling Your Children, as their parents are unaware of exactly how to prepare their children for success in college.

Of course, in order for your children to achieve success - both in college and after college - you will need to make sure they are adapted socially, and this can be difficult to accomplish, as your children will be home for the majority if the day. If you have children who enjoy playing sports, it will be rather easy for you to make sure they become socially acclimated, as they will be able to play sports and interact with other children their age; if your children are not interested in sports, however - and if there are not other children in your neighborhood with whom your children can play - consider finding a hobby or activity that your child enjoys, and help them get plugged in!
You should also be aware that your children will need to have a great deal of personal discipline in order to succeed in college. This means that you will need to make sure your children are conditioned to having a "schedule" as well having deadlines for their schoolwork and papers; many parents allow their homeschooled children to wake up when they want to wake up and do their work when they want to do it, but this is not the way college will be, and you will need to make sure you are preparing them for college if you want to prepare them for success!

Dealing With STRESS And A STRESSFUL Ordeal
Image via Wikipedia Dealing With STRESS And A STRESSFUL Ordeal. No matter what you do for a living (or what you do in life), there will be times when you end up feeling stressed or overwhelmed - after all, everyone deals with stress from time to time, and the primary issue, when it comes to stress, is not whether you deal with it, but what you do afterward. When you get stressed, it can end up setting you back for several days if you do not take care of the problem; in order to overcome the negative effects of stress, you need to learn how to decompress in Dealing With STRESS And A STRESSFUL Ordeal.
When stress hits you, the first thing you will need to do is go to a place where you can be by yourself; do not just go to "any place," however - you should have a place that is a "safe" place for you (whether in your room, in your yard, in your car, or somewhere away from home), and this is the place you should turn to when you need to decompress.
Dealing With STRESS And A STRESSFUL Ordeal. Silence is usually the best way to decompress, but many people find that music helps them as well; choose a "decompression" song (or "decompression" songs) that you can listen to whenever the need arises. This should be a song that causes you to relax, rather than one that causes you to get more excited or tense!
When you go to your decompression place, allowing yourself to enjoy some silence or music, you also need to pay attention to your breathing; you will notice, if you pay attention, that your heart rate and your breathing will be sped up when you are stressed, but you can counter these by focusing on your breathing and making sure you are taking deep, full breaths.
While it is rare that you will be able to control all the external factors that can cause stress to come upon you, you can control the way in which you react to this stress, and when you learn to take the proper "decompression steps," you will put yourself in much better shape for overcoming stress every time it arises.

GOOD PARENT-Controlling Anger As A Parent
Image via Wikipedia GOOD PARENT-Controlling Anger As A Parent. It can be very easy to react in anger when you have children - and with all the stuff that goes on as a parent, it would be very difficult for anyone to blame you for getting upset! But you must realize that a large part of being a GOOD PARENT-Controlling Anger As A Parent, is punishing the act, rather than punishing the person, and this means that you must avoid acting out of anger as best you can, as this will send a message to your child that "they" are bad, instead of that the "action" was bad.
You need to have a very firm understanding of yourself if you want to avoid acting out of anger toward your children - being able to discern when you are calm and when you are angry, as you will be unable to consistently parent your children properly if you are unable to consistently make this distinction!
GOOD PARENT-Controlling Anger As A Parent.
The first thing you need to do when your child has done something wrong is examine yourself; if you are upset with the choice your child made (but not with your child), it will be okay to sit them down and talk to them about their decision, and then to prescribe their punishment. If you realize that you are upset with your child (instead of with their choice), you need to explain this to your child (saying something like, "Daddy/Mommy needs a moment to cool off" will suffice), and then you can ask them to wait in their room (or in your room) until you are ready to talk to them.
Before you go to talk to your child, make sure you cool down completely, as this will be a big part of raising children who grow into well-adjusted adults. Once you start paying attention to this aspect of parenting - making sure you are punishing the "action" rather than the "child," and parenting out of love rather than out of anger - you will be on your way to raising children who turn out the way you hoped they would turn out when they were born!
